Locomotive Maintainers

Our client is a leading provider of transport maintenance services across Australia. Due to new contracts, we are seeking skilled Locomotive Maintainers based in Newcastle. The successful candidates will be provided with an initial 2 - 4 week training period on day shift, with the potential for day, afternoon and night shift thereafter.


What’s Involved:

• Perform scheduled maintenance, fault finding and troubleshooting on Locomotives

• Collaborating as part of a dynamic team

• Diagnostics, inspections and interpreting technical drawings

What We’re Looking For:

• Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter or Electrician

• Must have proven experience in a maintenance environment - rolling stock preferred

• Rail and Locomotive experience desirable

• Manual Lathe experience highly regarded

• Overhead Crane and Forklift ticket desirable

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

What We Offer You:

• $61 - $62 / hour - Casual rate

• Day shift, afternoon and night shift available with penalties

• 6 month project with the potential to go Permanent

• Based in Newcastle

• Immediate start
